ウクライナ危機にあって、持続可能な社会を目指して環境問題に取り組んでいる私たちにとって、深刻な問題だという認識から、このメッセージを明らかにすることにいたしました。
安全保障問題は極めて難しい課題であることは認識しているつもりですが、同時に、20世紀以来、私たちが努力してきたのは、武力によるのではなく対話による問題解決と平和構築です。戦争あるいは紛争事態は人類に対する重大な危害であると同時に、自然生態系そして地球環境に対する危機事態だと考えます。
私たちはすべての地球市民とともに、持続可能な社会と環境保全を実現していくために、できる限り早期の平和の達成を希求いたします。

Facing with the Ukrainian crisis, we have decided to present this message because we recognize that it is a serious problem for us who are working on environmental issues aiming for the sustainable society. While we recognize that security issues are extremely difficult to resolve, we have been striving to solve problems and build peace through dialogue rather than armed force since the 20th century. We are convinced that war or conflict situation can be seen as a serious harm to humankind, as well as a crisis to the natural ecosystem and the global environment. Together with all global citizens, we really hope the peace as soon as possible to achieve the sustainable society and environmental protection.
